Background
Hedley 2000 Ltd is a company with a Head Office in Peterborough and a regional
office in County Durham.
Hedley 2000 Ltd was formed in November 1999 as the management buy out vehicle
for the original Hedley Incorporated Company. Hedley Incorporated started
life in 1971 providing electrical services throughout the Peterborough
area.
The Company then progressed to fire and security systems supply, installation,
commissioning and maintenance. The Company continued to develop and in
the late 1980's progressed into the data communications field initially
providing data cabling services for a long-standing client Barclays Bank
Plc.
These services further progressed to provide networking hardware and infrastructures.
The Company then offered these services to all clients and has now established
a turnover approaching £5million per annum supplying, installing
and supporting data network infrastructures for clients throughout the
UK.
The company now specialises in the design and installation of network infrastructures
and associated electrical installations including any necessary builders
work and now provides these services for numerous clients throughout the
UK including NHS Trusts, local councils and Barclays Bank Plc within their
retail networks across the UK.
These works generally involve the installation of data cabling networks
and associated electrical installations i.e. power supplies for PC's, data
cabinets, printers among others.
The installation works are generally carried out in occupied premises and
can be during normal working hours or outside of normal working hours i.e.
evenings and weekends therefore good customer care and excellent project
management skills are essential in order to deliver the projects on time
and within budgets.
We have been undertaking these types of works for over 10 years, both with
Barclays Bank Plc and with numerous local councils where we have undertaken
similar operations for upgrading IT networks in council offices, civic
centres, schools etc.
The management buy out has allowed the Company further potential to develop
the IT networking infrastructure operations within the Company and is now
moving forward and developing the operations to be at the forefront of
the industry having engineers fully qualified in Cat5, Cat5E and Cat6 data
cabling installations, latest fibre optic installations and accreditations
gained in most of the major network hardware manufacturers i.e., 3Com Silver
Partner, Cisco Premier Certified Partner and HP Partner.
The company prides itself on the quality of works it delivers, not only
in terms of price and quality but the service. We have had numerous commendations
from clients who have commented on the fact that the works have been undertaken
with such minimal disruption that they did not in fact realise that we
had been working in the buildings.
This is a complete endorsement for the workforce who we employ, and they
are all directly employed by Hedley 2000 Ltd, as we do not utilise sub
contract labour. All of Hedley 2000 Ltd's engineers undertake specific
Hedley induction training, Criminals Record Bureau (CRB) clearance, Construction
Skills Certification SCheme (CSCS) Health and Safety Training, a key element
of this is good housekeeping within customers premises.
All engineers are equipped with dust sheets, dustpans and brushes and vacuum
cleaners, and are trained in the proficient use of all such items. It has
been this strength in quality of service that has enabled the company to
grow and maintain a 100% customer retention record. |
